Ultraviolet Lights

What is Bacteria?

Bacteria along with viruses are single celled microorganisms that are capable of causing health issues in humans, animals, or plants. The most common types of bacteria found in private wells are Coli-form bacteria, E.coli, Viruses, and Giardia Lamblia. When you consume water containing any of these items you run the potential of multiple varying health risks.

How to spot Bacteria & eliminate it in your water.

To find Bacteria in your water a sample must be taken from your water source and given to your local county extension agent or sent to a certified water testing laboratory. Your results will give you a good indicator on whether or not there is bacteria currently present in your water. If bacteria is present in your water a ultraviolet system is needed. If there is no bacteria currently that does not mean that it cannot develop from outside sources eventually.

Understanding that bacteria is always presents and has many sources; boil water alerts, decaying animal carcasses, private wells that aren't sealed properly, human contamination, etc... These ultraviolet systems provide a barrier between you and any possible bacteria source whether currently present or not.

Our Ultraviolet System

The key component in any Ultraviolet system is the UV lamp. The germicidal energy of ultraviolet light removes any harmful microorganisms that may be in the water by attacking their DNA. This powerful controlled dose of UV light eliminates their ability to reproduce, and the organisms simply die.

Understand this process:

Water is purified by running it through a watertight chamber that  contains an ultraviolet lamp. As water flows past, microorganisms are exposed to a lethal dose of germicidal UV energy.

Purification with the UV Max is a safe process that doesn't include chemicals and does not affect the taste or add an odor to your water.

Specialized, high output UV lamps maximize the output of germicidal UV energy. This is why we recommend using this system for any bacteria concerns.
